Find out what’s new in the Gemini app in July's Gemini Drop.
Google has released the July update for the Gemini app, introducing several new features and performance upgrades designed to improve user productivity across devices.
Mac users can now speak directly to Gemini in any active window to dictate text, edit highlighted content, or generate visuals right at the cursor. Additionally, the Gemini Spark feature is rolling out globally, allowing users to keep tasks running 24/7 even after closing their laptops.
The update also brings the new Gemini 3.6 Flash and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite models, offering faster speeds and improved reasoning capabilities. Users can now save an avatar to easily add themselves to generated images without needing to upload a photo each time. Furthermore, Gemini can now connect with Dropbox, Zillow Rentals, and Viator to handle requests across multiple platforms from a single prompt.
Finally, personalized image generation tailored to a user's unique interests and preferences is now available to all users in the United States.
