Google Open-Sources Glanceboard Schedule App Built With Gemini

Google has open-sourced Glanceboard, a custom morning schedule application built by creative technologist Raph using Gemini 3.6 Flash and Nano Banana. The app is designed to replace stressful morning notifications and bright screens with a serene organization method.

Every morning, Glanceboard checks the family Google Calendar and local weather. It then uses the Nano Banana model to generate a personalized illustration of Raph's children wearing clothes appropriate for the daily forecast.

This custom image appears on an e-ink display to inform the family of their schedule, what clothing to wear, and what items to pack for the day. The application runs on a lightweight local server without requiring cloud accounts.

Google has made the code available on GitHub along with hardware details so users can build their own versions. The project aims to provide a calm way to keep children engaged and organized in the morning.
