Introducing Claude for Teachers

Claude for Teachers provides verified United States K-12 educators with free access to premium Claude capabilities, a library of teaching skills, and connections to evidence-based curricula. The platform aims to reduce administrative strain and support educational best practices like differentiation and mastery-based learning, which are often limited by a lack of time and resources.

The tool connects to Learning Commons to access academic standards across all 50 states, fine-grained learning competencies, and trusted curricular resources including OpenSciEd and Illustrative Mathematics. Teachers can also integrate Claude with an ecosystem of tools such as ASSISTments, Brisk Teaching, Canva Education, Coteach, Diffit, Eedi, MagicSchool, Snorkl, and TeachFX. Verified educators can use the platform to plan standards-aligned lessons, build differentiation plans for various readiness levels, analyze class data to tailor instruction, and automate repeated tasks like reviewing daily exit tickets.

The platform is restricted to educators 18 and older, excludes teacher data from model training, and protects student information in compliance with FERPA and district and state policies. Additionally, educators gain access to AI Fluency for PK-12 Teachers, a course created with Teach For America and the American Federation of Teachers. Eligible educators who sign up by June 30, 2027, receive a full year of free access, with a dedicated offering for schools and districts planned for the future.
