Gemini can now take notes in Google Meet for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.
Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can now use a new note-taking feature within Google Meet on both web and mobile devices. This tool uses Gemini to transcribe conversations in real time, allowing participants to focus on the discussion rather than manual documentation.
When activated, the feature automatically generates a summary of the meeting and identifies key action items. Once the call concludes, these notes are saved directly to a Google Doc in the user's Google Drive, and a recap email is sent to the host. Participants are notified whenever the feature is turned on to ensure transparency during the call.
Users can start the process during a meeting by clicking the pencil icon at the top of the window or by enabling it in their settings for all future calls. This update is available to eligible Google Workspace business customers and individual subscribers, providing a streamlined way to track tasks and organize information from professional or personal meetings.
