Developing Enterprise Frontier Safeguards with our customers

Enterprise Frontier Safeguards is a new solution developed by Anthropic in collaboration with more than 100 enterprise customers and cloud partners including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. The offering is designed to combine zero data retention privacy principles with advanced security safeguards capable of detecting sophisticated AI misuse, such as fraud and complex cyberattacks that span multiple sessions and accounts.

Under the new system, enterprise customers retain direct control over their data storage by keeping activity logs in their own cloud accounts, such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Google Cloud Storage, secured by their own encryption keys and access policies. Automated safety monitoring systems analyze a rolling window of traffic for misuse, and when a potential security flag is raised, the signal is sent directly to the customer for review by their own internal personnel without requiring human review by Anthropic employees.

The solution will be supported across multiple platforms and tools, including Claude Code, Claude Enterprise, the Claude Platform, Amazon Bedrock, Google Agent Platform, and Microsoft Foundry. Enterprise Frontier Safeguards will roll out in phases starting later this fall, and eligible customers will receive zero data retention on specific models like Fable 5 and Fable 5.1 in the interim.
