Google is introducing Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, a production-ready update for developers that provides advanced control over generative video creation. The model is accessible through Google AI Studio, the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and various subscription tiers for general users.

The update introduces several creative capabilities, including scene extensions that allow users to continue footage up to 40 seconds by analyzing up to 10 seconds of prior context. Developers can also specify start and end frames for smooth camera transitions, utilize 360p previews for faster and more affordable prototyping, and upscale final outputs to 4K resolution. Additionally, the system supports video references to maintain character and visual consistency.

These tools are designed to help creators build workflows, media editing software, and creative tools that offer more precise direction over AI-generated video. Industry platforms such as Adobe Firefly, Figma Weave, GMI Cloud, and Runway are already integrating the technology to support professional video production and editing.
