Turn your voice into action with new productivity features in Gemini Live
Google is rolling out a major productivity upgrade to Gemini Live, introducing voice-controlled agentic capabilities designed to handle complex tasks across Google apps. Because 63 percent of users already talk to Gemini out loud, the update aims to turn natural voice commands into direct action, letting users delegate multi-step projects and manage their schedules hands-free.
Several new features power this release. Spark allows users to execute long-running tasks across Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and the web, such as turning rambling brainstorming sessions into structured documents or maintaining weekly family meal plans. A new Daily Brief provides a spoken summary combining Gmail and Calendar updates every morning, while hands-free inbox management lets users search, summarize, star, archive, or delete emails using only their voice.
Gemini Live also now features Personal Intelligence, which connects the dots across past chats and connected Google apps like Photos, Search, and YouTube. This allows users to recall past conversations and specific details without starting from scratch. To use these features, users need to enable app connections in their Gemini settings, tap the Live icon in the app, and start talking.
