Introducing a way to reflect on how you use Claude
Anthropic has introduced a beta feature that allows users to track and visualize their interactions with Claude. Located in the settings menu on the web and desktop app, this dashboard provides a summary of usage patterns, key topics, and task types over the past year. It is designed to help users evaluate whether their AI usage aligns with their personal goals and to determine which tasks are best suited for AI versus human effort.
The tool includes features to help users manage their digital habits, such as setting quiet hours or scheduling reminders to take breaks. It also incorporates the 4D AI Fluency Framework, which assesses how users delegate tasks, describe goals, discern output quality, and maintain diligence in their work. The dashboard offers personalized suggestions to improve collaboration, such as using Projects to maintain context for ongoing tasks.
Privacy is a core component of this feature. The reflection dashboard does not include data from incognito chats, connected files, or health integration tools. Anthropic developed this tool in collaboration with experts from the MIT Media Lab, the Digital Wellness Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Family Online Safety Institute to ensure sensitive topics are handled appropriately. The feature is currently available to all users who have the memory function enabled.
