Danish AI infrastructure startup Granite raises 4 million euros

The Danish artificial intelligence infrastructure startup Granite has secured four million euros in funding in a round led by Bifrost Studios. The capital will fund the market launch and commercialization of a platform that has been under development for eight years.

According to Granite CEO Peter Damm, artificial intelligence is shifting from merely answering questions to actually performing work, which changes what businesses require from their underlying technology. The newly launched platform is designed to give companies greater control over where their artificial intelligence operates and who owns the infrastructure supporting it, rather than relying exclusively on major cloud providers known as hyperscalers.

This funding and market entry matter because businesses are increasingly seeking secure, independent ways to manage their artificial intelligence operations as the technology becomes more integrated into daily workflows. By offering an alternative to dominant cloud giants, Granite addresses growing corporate demands for data sovereignty and infrastructure ownership.
