Archangel partners with Estonian Defence Forces to strengthen Baltic defence innovation

The Estonian Defence Forces and the European defence venture capital fund Archangel have signed a three-year cooperation agreement to connect military needs, technology companies, and investors across Estonia and the wider Baltic region.

Under the partnership, Archangel will identify and engage with Baltic defence technology startups and investment opportunities. In return, the Estonian Defence Forces will provide insights regarding their operational requirements and technology development.

The agreement also aims to create opportunities for companies to test and develop their solutions within Estonia. Archangel focuses on early-stage investments in fields such as autonomous systems, artificial intelligence software, cybersecurity, and next-generation communications.

This collaboration bridges the gap between defence innovation and the capital and expertise required to transition technologies from early development into actual adoption. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to strengthen the broader European defence ecosystem by aligning military requirements with private industry and investment.
