Final Frontier and Myriad Defence join forces to build 100M euro Nordic defence tech fund

Venture firms Final Frontier and Myriad Defence are combining their platforms under the Final Frontier brand to create a larger early-stage defence technology venture platform for the New Nordics. The two firms have previously backed a combined 15 companies and bring complementary skills, combining Final Frontier's expertise in geopolitics and the armed forces with Myriad's network of experienced technology operators and Nordic founders.

To support this expansion, the combined platform is targeting one hundred million euros for Final Frontier Fund II, with a first close aimed at the end of 2026. This new fund will invest at the pre-seed and seed stages across the New Nordics and Ukraine. The platform will guide startups from early building through scaling, offering access to industry specialists, operational expertise, and navigation through complex government and military procurement processes.

The merger responds to a recognized shortage of large early-stage capital pools dedicated to defence technology, alongside a regional abundance of technical talent and ambitious founders. This development also aligns with European governments increasing defence spending and prioritizing domestic capabilities in software, autonomous systems, and advanced hardware.
