Helsingborg’s conversation AI startup Klang raises €1.32 million and releases open speech-to-text model for Swedish
Klang is an artificial intelligence startup based in Helsingborg, Sweden, that was founded in 2023 by Silfverström, Viktor Silfverström, Andreas Argelius, Mattias Fält, and Jacob Andersson. The company specializes in developing technology solutions designed to transcribe, summarize, and analyze human conversations efficiently and accurately.
To fund its continued research, development, and international growth, the startup has recently raised 1.32 million euros. With this fresh capital, Klang plans to hire approximately ten new employees across research, development, and marketing. In the near future, the company aims to expand its market presence into the Nordic countries, the Benelux region, the DACH region, and Japan.
Throughout the year, Klang has concentrated its efforts on building proprietary speech and language models capable of processing real-time conversations with high speed and precision. Built on scalable technology, these models allow for rapid deployment across new international markets. According to the founders, modern artificial intelligence enables a small, technically skilled team to accomplish tasks that previously demanded much larger organizations, and the newly acquired funds will help accelerate their product distribution and research pace.
