Interhuman AI wants to teach AI what humans say without words
Copenhagen-based startup Interhuman AI is developing social intelligence technology to help artificial intelligence interpret non-verbal and contextual signals during interactions. While standard AI models often miss these subtle cues, the company builds its own foundational models to process social signals across text, audio, and video in real time.
The startup's latest model, called Inter-2, is designed to bridge the gap between human communication and machine understanding. Co-founders CEO Paula Petcu and COO Frederik Sally launched the company after observing the mainstream arrival of large language models like ChatGPT, recognizing a need for technology that captures the invisible information that shapes how humans interpret conversations.
This work addresses a major limitation in current artificial intelligence by enabling systems to recognize the unsaid elements of human exchange. As a rare European AI startup building proprietary models, the company contributes to expanding how machines process multimodal human communication.
