New Report Maps Identity Fraud and Cybercrime Threats in Denmark
A new report titled The Battle In The Dark maps identity fraud and cybercrime threats across nine European countries, including Denmark. The study was conducted by the Norwegian technology company Signicat to examine current security conditions and the tactics used by hackers.
A central finding for Denmark is that 38 percent of all fraud attacks specifically target user accounts. Although artificial intelligence-generated deepfakes receive significant attention in public discussions, the report highlights that businesses and individuals still need to focus heavily on traditional identity fraud.
This mapping matters because it identifies the primary threat vectors facing Danish digital infrastructure and users. By understanding that hackers frequently target accounts directly, organizations and individuals can better prioritize their cybersecurity defenses against prevalent fraud methods.
