Moderna's Bob Langer and AMI's Yann LeCun Join Cellular Intelligence Board
Cellular Intelligence has added four prominent scientific and technological figures to its scientific advisory board. The new board members are Moderna co-founder Robert Langer, Turing Award-winning artificial intelligence researcher Yann LeCun, BioInnovation Institute chief executive Jens Nielsen, and computational biologist Fabian Theis. In addition to joining the advisory board, Langer is taking on the role of observer on the company board of directors.
The newly expanded board brings together leading expertise in biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and computational health. Langer holds the highest faculty rank at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has co-founded roughly 40 companies, and has more than 1,500 issued and pending patents. Nielsen leads the Novo Nordisk Foundation engine for scaling life-science companies, and Theis directs the Computational Health Center at Helmholtz Munich while co-founding the Human Cell Atlas.
Langer noted that his work with Cellular Intelligence is part of a broader set of biotechnology ventures he has supported recently. These other ventures include Vivtex and its major deal with Novo Nordisk, as well as startups led by his children.
