AI becomes a new part of the user experience across digital industries

In 2025, the Danish Agency for Digitalization published a report showing that thirty percent of surveyed Danish companies use artificial intelligence across various business sizes. The report emphasizes that responsible implementation requires a focus on transparency, human control, data minimization, and security.

This widespread adoption makes AI a central component of user experience design. Designers and developers must determine when artificial intelligence genuinely solves a problem rather than merely adding another element for users to manage and understand.

Users now encounter AI-driven recommendations across diverse digital sectors, including streaming, e-commerce, banking, travel planning, and online gaming. However, user expectations regarding explanation and control vary depending on the specific situation.

When processes involve personal data, finances, or other significant decisions, providing clear choices and understandable outcomes becomes much more important than simply removing an extra click from the workflow.
