Denmark is falling behind in the global robot race
Growth in the use of industrial robots has stalled across Denmark and the rest of Europe. New figures indicate that investments in automation and new industrial robots have ground to a halt domestically and regionally.
While European growth has stopped, other regions are surging ahead. China is advancing rapidly in the global robot race, and North America is also pulling ahead of Europe in adopting automation technologies.
Globally, there are now more than five million industrial robots, including a small portion of humanoid robots whose share is expected to grow in the coming years. According to the union Dansk Metal, turning this trend around in Denmark and Europe requires million-dollar investments, with a specific focus on lifting a particular type of company.
