AI-teknologien er blevet for god til at hacke: Selv uden en AI-dommedag kan vi få et »varmt efterår«

While much attention focuses on science fiction scenarios of artificial intelligence destroying humanity, industry experts warn that more immediate threats are already emerging. Natasha Friis Saxberg, chief executive of the Danish trade organization IT-Branchen, points out that artificial intelligence has simply become too proficient at hacking. Rather than worrying about a distant technological apocalypse, society needs to address the concrete cybersecurity dangers happening right now.

According to these experts, the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence tools has dramatically lowered the barrier for cybercriminals, enabling sophisticated attacks on a much larger scale. This development threatens critical infrastructure, businesses, and everyday digital security. Without proper preparation, organizations face a challenging period ahead as malicious actors weaponize these new capabilities.

This issue matters because these practical cybersecurity vulnerabilities require immediate action from policymakers and industry leaders. While futuristic doomsday scenarios dominate public debate, ignoring the current misuse of artificial intelligence in hacking leaves society exposed to severe economic and operational disruptions in the near term.
