Swedish company secures $100 million to scale AI across European healthcare

Stockholm-based healthtech company Tandem Health has raised $100 million in a Series B funding round led by the Scaleup Europe Fund, which is managed by EQT. The investment marks the fund's first venture into healthcare AI. Additional participation came from existing investors including Kinnevik, Northzone, Amino Collective, and Visionaries. This new capital brings Tandem Health's total funding to $160 million.

The company builds an artificial intelligence medical assistant designed to support clinicians in their daily work. The tool assists with generating patient summaries, providing clinical decision support, handling medical documentation, and managing coding tasks. The technology holds three class certifications for medical use.

The funding will allow Tandem Health to scale its artificial intelligence platform across the European healthcare sector. This expansion addresses administrative and clinical support needs for medical professionals in the region.
