Finland's NestAI expands to Estonia

NestAI is a Finnish defense technology startup backed by Nokia that develops a unified battlefield operating system for use across Europe. As part of its broader regional growth, the company is expanding into the Baltics and Nordics, following earlier moves into Sweden in August and Latvia in September 2026.

The expansion into Estonia is a natural progression for NestAI, which already collaborates with the Estonian Defence Forces. This relationship was previously formalized through a joint Letter of Intent signed by Estonia and Finland in June 2026.

To support this growth, NestAI is opening an office and a research and development center in Tallinn. This local setup will station at least twenty-five engineers and other specialists in the city, allowing the startup to work more closely with the Estonian military and collaborate with local industry partners to further develop its technology.
