AI expert warns Danish companies of looming price hikes for models
Danish companies and public authorities are rapidly adopting artificial intelligence tools, but they face a looming financial risk. According to IT advisor and Zangenberg Analytics director Henrik Zangenberg, the current prices for US-developed AI models are kept artificially low by providers attempting to capture market share.
Because of this aggressive pricing strategy, businesses are not paying the true cost of operating these technologies. Zangenberg warns that companies should carefully review their current agreements, as sudden and significant price hikes are expected in the future when providers eventually raise rates to match real costs.
This situation matters because organizations that integrate these tools deeply into their daily operations risk unexpected financial strain. Without careful contract management and an awareness of shifting pricing models, companies could find their artificial intelligence expenses suddenly escalating far beyond initial expectations.
