Nvidia partners with Swedish autonomous truck startup Einride
Swedish autonomous truck startup Einride is partnering with Nvidia to accelerate the transition of its freight network to fully self-driving operations. Founded in Stockholm in 2016, Einride develops its autonomous-driving technology entirely in-house and currently serves major clients such as PepsiCo, Carlsberg, and Heineken.
Under the new collaboration, Nvidia is providing the underlying compute platform and AI development tools for Einride's self-driving systems. Specifically, Einride will adapt the Nvidia DRIVE Hyperion platform, which is a production-ready compute and sensor architecture designed for Level 4 autonomy, tailored specifically for heavy-duty trucking.
The partnership also integrates Nvidia's Halos safety framework and provides access to Nvidia Cosmos. Einride will use the Cosmos tool to uncover difficult edge cases hidden in camera footage and to generate photorealistic synthetic data, expanding the variety of operating conditions used to train its artificial intelligence models.
