Danish startup Hybrid Greentech secures €15 million for grid flexibility
Danish climate tech startup Hybrid Greentech has secured 15 million euros in funding to accelerate the rollout of power grid flexibility across Europe. The investment comes at a time of growing pressure on European electricity grids as power demand rises due to increased electrification and the expansion of data centers.
This funding is part of a broader wave of financial backing for European energy flexibility and grid technology companies. Similar investments include a 43 million euro round for Germany based Entrix, 11 million euros for Finnish virtual power plant operator Capalo AI, and 21 million euros for London energy flexibility firm Axle Energy.
These funding rounds highlight a widespread regional push to build more resilient and flexible power systems. As Europe integrates more renewable energy sources and faces mounting infrastructure challenges, startups focused on grid management and energy optimization are attracting significant capital from venture funds like Climentum Capital, which recently launched its second fund with 60 million euros.
