Mastercard Helps Danske Bank With Denmark-First Agentic Transaction
Danske Bank and Mastercard are collaborating to introduce the first agentic transaction in Denmark, marking a step forward in AI-powered payments. Mark Wraa-Hansen, the head of personal banking for Denmark at Danske Bank, emphasized that the initiative focuses on customer value, trust, and control while aiming to deliver a simpler and more secure payment experience.
Mastercard executive Aikat compared the rapid rise of agentic AI technology to past payment evolutions, such as swiping cards, dipping chips, and paying by phone, noting that the adoption of agentic systems is accelerating even faster than previous innovations.
