Københavns Universitet afsætter 110 millioner kroner til stor AI-satsning
The University of Copenhagen has allocated 110 million kroner to fund a major artificial intelligence initiative. The goal goes beyond simply introducing new digital tools to fundamentally transform how the university operates, conducts research, and delivers education.
To lead this large-scale transformation, the university has appointed a new vice-rector for artificial intelligence, Morten Axel Pedersen, who holds the role of the institution's primary AI lead.
This investment matters because it represents a strategic, institution-wide overhaul aimed at integrating artificial intelligence into the core academic and administrative functions of one of Denmark's leading higher education institutions.
