Welcome to our new Board Member in DIREC

Stine Hegelund Bertelsen has joined the DIREC board as a new member. She currently serves as Director General of the National Agency for IT and Learning, where she oversees over one hundred IT and data solutions across the education sector. In this role, she leads initiatives that use IT, digitalisation, and data to improve learning and well-being for students of all ages.

She brings more than a decade of senior leadership experience in IT, digitalisation, and public sector innovation in Denmark. Her past roles include positions within the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Business and Competitiveness. Her core areas of focus are digital sovereignty, user-driven development, emerging technologies, and building robust digital solutions that serve citizens and society.

Her appointment supports DIREC in its ongoing efforts to connect digital research, industry, and society. The organization expects to benefit from her extensive insights and experience as it continues its work in the digital field.
