Copenhagen’s Complir raises $11M to tackle product compliance bottlenecks

Copenhagen-based product compliance technology company Complir has secured $11 million in a seed funding round led by General Catalyst. The new investment follows an earlier $2 million pre-seed round raised in December 2025.

Founded in 2024 by Gustav Bang, Tine Kühnel, and Marc Brejner, the company builds an artificial intelligence infrastructure platform tailored for retailers and brands that manage large product portfolios across various markets and regulatory regimes.

The platform automates parts of the product compliance process by using artificial intelligence to map product information against applicable regulations and generate the necessary documentation for market entry. Additionally, it monitors regulatory changes at the individual stock keeping unit level and automatically reassesses affected products, connecting compliance flags directly to their regulatory sources.

This technology addresses bottlenecks in navigating complex regulatory requirements, enabling brands to efficiently bring products to market and maintain compliance as rules change.
