BioInnovation Institute Selects 17 European Startups for Funding

The BioInnovation Institute has selected seventeen European startups to receive funding and support. These companies span various scientific and technological fields, developing innovative solutions based on academic research from across Europe.

Among the selected companies, Human Thinking creates educational artificial intelligence agents and learning systems designed to encourage student critical thinking. Lucore Technology builds photonic hardware that uses light and optical frequency channels to make artificial intelligence computing faster and more energy-efficient while lowering heat and latency. Another recipient, IQopta, uses artificial intelligence to streamline medical imaging workflows, specifically targeting drug development and clinical trials.

These startups originate as spinouts from prominent academic institutions, including the Technical University of Denmark, the University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, and Leibniz University Hannover. By translating complex scientific research into practical applications, these ventures aim to address modern challenges in education, computing, and healthcare.
