DI analysis shows Danish companies focusing on AI grow faster and hire more

A new analysis from the Confederation of Danish Industry shows that Danish companies using artificial intelligence systematically experience stronger growth and higher employment than their peers. Based on data from Statistics Denmark and responses from 7,150 companies, the study tracks performance since 2021.

Businesses that apply artificial intelligence systematically have achieved a revenue growth rate that is 6.5 percent higher than comparable companies without systematic AI use. For companies that integrate artificial intelligence across nearly their entire operations, the growth difference reaches 13.3 percent, alongside an increase in jobs.

The findings highlight artificial intelligence as a key tool to boost productivity across small and medium-sized enterprises, which form the backbone of Danish business. The technology makes advanced tools and capabilities available to far more companies than before.

In the healthcare sector, where staff shortages are common, artificial intelligence can take over routine tasks and free up valuable time for patient care. The Danish company Teton received the DI Award for pioneering this type of future welfare technology.
