Tool that identifies AI-generated material helps Pixel Systems raise €2.7 million
Pixel Systems, a Stockholm-based startup that builds a tool for identifying AI-generated material, has raised €2.7 million in seed funding. The company was founded only months ago. Unconventional Ventures is tagged in the coverage, though the excerpt does not spell out the investor line-up or the terms of the round.
Pixel has already started to generate revenue. Three weeks after its commercial launch, it has reached its first €89k (about $100k) in contracted recurring revenue.
Co-founder and CEO Robel Efrem frames the problem as one of trust in digital processes. "Generative AI has made it extremely cheap to fabricate evidence," he says. "The problem is that almost every digital process still rests on the assumption that what people submit is authentic. That assumption is disappearing." The coverage ties the product to deepfake and fraud detection.
The round joins a run of European investments in digital trust and fraud prevention that EU-Startups has reported in 2026. These include Sweden's Bits (€12 million), Denmark's Flare (€3.6 million), France's Marble (€6.5 million) and MokN (€12.9 million), Spain's Zepo Intelligence (€12.8 million), and UK/Germany-based Diligent AI (€2.1 million). Pixel's round is among the smaller ones in that group, but its early contracted revenue shows paying customers within weeks of launch.
For the Nordics, the deal adds another Swedish company to the growing field of startups responding to cheap, convincing AI-generated fakes in processes that depend on submitted documents and media.
