Ex-Thylander investors' Cortas raises €1.47M to build an AI property manager in Denmark

Danish startup Cortas has raised about €1.47 million in a pre-seed round led by PSV Tech. The company is run by former investors from Thylander and is building an AI-driven property manager.

Cortas does not plan to sell software to existing property managers. It intends to build its own property management platform and use it to manage clients' buildings directly. The aim is to position itself as an alternative to the established property managers, with a new operating model built around AI from the start.

The new funds will go toward improving the technology, growing the team and establishing that position in the market. The company says it wants to automate administrative work so that people can concentrate on tasks that need human judgement, expertise and relationship building, and it is structuring the business to make the best use of both people and technology.

Tore Harritshøj, founder of Spirii and an investor in Cortas, compared the venture to his own. He called property management a large market where technology will transform both the cost structure and the customer experience. In his view, building a whole new operating model around AI, rather than software for incumbents, makes the business case particularly interesting, and he said it reminds him in several ways of the journey Spirii went through.

The round is early-stage, and the source gives no details on customers, launch timing or valuation.
