Danish AI sector focuses on business market

The first AI Report Denmark maps 1,249 AI tools and companies headquartered in Denmark, using data from June 2026. It was compiled by RankmyAI in cooperation with Aalborg University Business School and AI Denmark, and was published in late September.

The report's main finding is that the Danish AI sector consists mainly of providers of solutions for professionals and organisations. In other words, the sector is oriented toward the business market rather than consumers.

It also finds that investment capital is concentrated in a small group of companies. Funding is therefore not spread evenly across the 1,249 mapped tools and companies, but sits with a limited number of players.

The available material gives only these headline findings. It does not say which companies attract the most capital, how much has been invested, or how the mapped companies break down by application area or size.

The report matters as the first systematic overview of the Danish AI landscape. It puts a number on how many AI tools and companies are based in the country and shows two structural features of the market: a B2B focus and concentrated funding.
