Plinto Secures 2.9 Million Euros for AI Invoice Audit Agents
Plinto, a Copenhagen-based fintech startup, has raised 2.9 million euros in pre-seed funding. The round was led by People Ventures and Emblem, with several angel investors also taking part.
The company builds specialized AI agents that detect and resolve accounting errors. They are designed to automate the verification of financial contracts and to settle discrepancies in invoices. Plinto plans to use the new capital to expand its team and scale these agents.
Co-founder Jakob Nielsen described the problem the company is targeting: businesses have systems that record every transaction, but checking whether those transactions actually match agreements and rules is still largely manual. In his words, Plinto is building AI agents that find deviations, investigate them and take action, so that errors get fixed rather than just flagged.
The material available covers only the funding announcement and this core pitch. It does not give details on Plinto's customers, pricing, valuation or product rollout, nor on the specifics of its market expansion plans.
The news matters as a sign of investor interest in AI agents applied to back-office finance work, in this case a Danish startup aiming to take over the manual checking of invoices against contracts and rules.
