Jenz Raises €630K in Pre-Seed and Grant

Jenz, an Oslo-based startup building an AI-powered retail operations platform, has raised €540,000 in pre-seed funding. It also received a €92,000 non-dilutive startup grant from Innovation Norway, bringing the total to about €630,000. Antler and Ada Ventures were among the pre-seed backers.

The company is led by co-founders Remi Bjørnestad (CEO), Jo Schou Sandåker (CTO) and Natnael Belete Seifo (CCO). Its product is an autonomous AI retail agent. It is designed to pull together operational data that retailers usually keep in separate systems: online stores, point-of-sale hardware, inventory trackers and accounting tools. Jenz combines these into a single, trusted information layer.

On top of that layer, the agent is built to automate demand forecasting and back-office task management. The aim is to spare retailers from stitching together fragmented data and handling routine administrative work by hand.

Jenz plans to spend the money on four things: further developing its retail data integration layer, expanding its automated workflow capabilities, growing its core team in Oslo, and speeding up its commercial launch in the United Kingdom, which it expects to happen within the next nine months.

The round shows early investor and public-sector support for a Norwegian startup applying AI agents to the day-to-day operations of retail, with the UK as its first planned market outside Norway.
