New method from startup aims to significantly shorten robot training

Odense Robotics StartUp Fund has admitted the startup Synteza to its portfolio. The admission gives the company access to capital and to test facilities.

Synteza has developed a method intended to shorten the time it takes to train robots significantly. The available text does not go further than that: it does not say how the method works, how much training time it is expected to save, which kinds of robots or tasks it applies to, or how large the investment is.

The news matters mainly as a sign of support for early-stage robotics work in the Odense area, which is home to Denmark's main robotics cluster. Funding and access to testing infrastructure are typically what a young company needs to move a new technique from development toward real-world trials. Beyond that, the details of Synteza's approach and its results have yet to be laid out in the material available here.
