Well-known investors back Danish AI startup

Copenhagen-based Lumilab has raised capital from a group of prominent investors. The money is meant to help the company grow internationally.

Lumilab develops software based on artificial intelligence that is designed to make it easier for companies to run energy assets such as EV charging stations, solar plants and battery systems. Keeping track of thousands of chargers, solar installations and batteries can be a complicated task, and the company aims to simplify it using AI.

The report as available gives no figures for the size of the funding round, no valuation, and no names of the investors beyond describing them as well known. It also does not say which markets Lumilab plans to enter or how it will spend the money.

The story matters as another sign of investor interest in Danish AI startups, here in the area where energy infrastructure and software meet. As more chargers, solar plants and batteries are installed, tools that help companies manage them are becoming more relevant.
