US firm Mixx Reality picks Copenhagen as its European growth base

US tech company Mixx Reality is placing its European growth base in Copenhagen, according to a press release from Copenhagen Capacity dated 20 October 2026. From there the company plans to develop and scale solutions in AI, spatial computing and immersive web technology.

Mixx Reality builds digital tools that make complex data about physical places easier to understand and work with. It combines AI, spatial computing, 3D, map data, project information and other data sources to create interactive, browser-based experiences in which different stakeholders can view and discuss the same project on a shared basis.

The company says Copenhagen and the wider capital region appealed because they bring together strong expertise in urban development, infrastructure, architecture, engineering, digitalisation and sustainable development. CEO Damon Hernandez said the biggest challenges cannot be solved by technology alone, and that it has to be linked with professional expertise, research, policy and the people who will use and live with the solutions. In his words, Copenhagen lets the company work close to all of those perspectives.

Copenhagen Capacity, the not-for-profit investment promotion organisation for Eastern Denmark, helped Mixx Reality understand the Danish business ecosystem, identify relevant organisations and connect with potential partners. Its CEO, Asbjørn Overgaard, said the aim is to make the route into the market as simple and relevant as possible, and called Mixx Reality a good example of a company that can pair technology development with Copenhagen's strengths and needs.

The release presents the move as a starting point for new collaborations and for bringing the company's technology into a market with strong professional communities and potential for international growth. It gives no details on staffing, investment size or timing.
