NVIDIA deepens Nordic AI bets with startups & partners
NVIDIA has expanded its investments and partnerships in the Nordic technology sector, including backing the Swedish startups Lovable and Legora. The move comes as Swedish startup funding runs at a fast pace: the country's startup ecosystem raised USD $2.8 billion in the first half of 2026 and is projected to reach USD $5 billion for the full year.
The push is regional. Data centre operators, industrial groups and software companies across the Nordics are increasing their use of AI infrastructure and tools.
One example is Embedl, a company founded in Gothenburg. It has worked with Space Cargo Unlimited on an onboard prototype that monitors protein crystallisation and recommends actions. The system runs on a single NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX module and does not need a continuous connection to the ground.
Sweden AI Factory has also announced a collaboration with NVIDIA. It is one of Europe's 19 EuroHPC-funded AI factories, and the collaboration is meant to give startups and smaller businesses access to infrastructure and expertise.
Together, these items show NVIDIA tying itself more closely to the Nordic AI ecosystem, through funding for startups, hardware used in specialised edge applications, and public-backed computing resources aimed at smaller players. The source also points to a section on transport and quantum, but no details from it are available here.
