Danish AI startups Complir and SiteSage featured by Dansk Erhverv at e-commerce conference

Dansk Erhverv, the Danish business association, put two Danish AI startups in the spotlight around its e-commerce conference: Complir and SiteSage.

Complir is an AI startup that got into the US accelerator Y Combinator. Its founders, Gustav and Tine, now want to build a global company based in Copenhagen rather than moving it abroad.

Dansk Erhverv also invited 20 selected entrepreneurs who sell products or services online to attend the conference for free. Among them was Alberte Egholm, co-founder of Wiin. The invitation gave them a chance to meet one another, exchange experiences and make contact with established companies.

One of the startups in that group was SiteSage, which helps businesses build AI chatbots for customer service. The material points to the new contacts and valuable feedback that taking part brought such companies.

The piece also makes a broader point: many entrepreneurs are developing solutions that can create value for both large and small e-commerce businesses. This is especially true in artificial intelligence, where new companies are building tools meant to make online retail smarter and more efficient. Even so, it notes that with a strong product, the road to the first big customer can still be long. That is the gap the conference's networking was meant to help close.
