Lars Tvede sees a serious flaw in companies' approach to AI; in three years it may be too late

Lars Tvede, an investor and serial entrepreneur, believes many companies are making a serious mistake in how they approach AI, and that in three years it may be too late to correct it. He spoke to the newspaper during a short visit to Aalborg about what companies in North Jutland should concretely do to keep up.

Tvede has worked with technology for decades and has written 17 books, including on economics and the future. He says he has never seen a technology develop as fast as artificial intelligence, and it still surprises him with what it can do.

As an example, he describes a recent walk at his home in Switzerland. He talked with the AI assistant Grok about his idea for a service that would monitor the global experience economy. When the walk was over, he asked Grok to summarise the conversation.

The page also carried a teaser for an unrelated business story. It says Martin Merrild, for many years one of the most powerful men in Danish agriculture, railed against foreign investment funds entering the sector. A decade later the share of foreign owners is growing, but North Jutland stands out, with three factors standing in the way of foreign takeovers of farmland.
