Lovable opens up for running apps on AWS

Lovable, the Swedish AI app-building company, has launched Deploy on AWS, a new service that lets users run their apps on Amazon Web Services if they choose. The reason is that some security departments require workflows to run on an AWS account owned by the company itself, which the service now makes possible.

Users can still build their apps in Lovable's development environment. What changes is where things run: data, security controls and governance are handled through AWS rather than on Lovable's side.

A number of selected customers have already tested the service, among them Deutsche Telekom. In a press release, the company's AI chief Kartik Sheth said it has already created thousands of applications and prototypes, but that its most sensitive workloads require apps and data to sit entirely within its own network. Running Lovable in its own infrastructure through AskT, its internal AI productivity platform, lets employees build tools that connect to internal data, while the security team keeps full control.

The launch matters because it addresses a barrier for organisations with strict security requirements. Companies that cannot let apps or data leave their own cloud environment can use Lovable's building tools while keeping control with their own security teams.
