Scaleway plans GPU cluster deployments in Sweden and Copenhagen

Scaleway, the French cloud provider, said at its AI-Pulse 2026 event in Paris that it plans two new GPU deployments in the Nordics: an AI supercomputer in Sweden and a "GPU zone" in Copenhagen.

The Swedish system will be built on AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs. Scaleway says it will be its first supercomputer deployment outside France, and that it will give startups, AI companies and enterprises across Europe access to AMD Instinct GPU capacity at scale. The company has not said how much compute the machine will offer or how many GPUs it will contain. The deployment builds on Scaleway's existing partnership with Tele2, under which the two companies said they would launch a cloud and AI offering in Sweden in May of this year. Tele2 operates two data centers in Sweden.

In Copenhagen, Scaleway will launch a GPU zone offering Nvidia HGX B300 compute. The company describes its GPU zones as locations designed to provide large-scale GPU capacity for AI training and inference, complementing its existing cloud Availability Zones. It is not clear how the Copenhagen GPU zone differs from the Swedish AI supercomputer. The reporting outlet, DCD, has asked Scaleway for clarification.

For the Nordic AI infrastructure market, the plans mean more large-scale GPU capacity, from both AMD and Nvidia, coming to Sweden and Denmark through a European provider. Key details such as capacity, GPU counts and timelines have not yet been disclosed.
