Sund & Bælt vil ansætte 20-30 studerende til “AI-sværm”

The infrastructure company Sund & Bælt is planning to hire twenty to thirty student assistants to form what it calls an AI swarm. Led by top executive Mikkel Hemmingsen, the initiative aims to challenge conventional thinking and discover new ways to utilize artificial intelligence across the organization.

The core motivation behind this project is the belief that successfully integrating new technology requires a fundamental cultural shift within the company. According to the leadership, this type of internal transformation and cultural adaptation cannot simply be purchased from external consultants or vendors.

Mikkel Hemmingsen brings previous experience in driving major technological transitions, having worked as the deputy director in the Ministry of Science to help establish the digital signature in Denmark during the early 2000s. With the new student group, he now seeks to accelerate a similar digital optimization regarding artificial intelligence inside Sund & Bælt.
