Heidrick & Struggles CEO: Danish Executives Lag in AI Strategic Value

The chief executive of the global consulting and executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles assesses the standing of Danish corporate leaders regarding artificial intelligence. The evaluation indicates that while business leaders in Denmark are quick to adopt new technology and currently sit ahead of many peers in general usage, they are failing to capture the strategic value that the technology can provide.

Specifically, Danish executives are lagging behind when it comes to transforming artificial intelligence tools into a unique competitive advantage that rival companies cannot easily replicate or offer. Although adoption rates are high and companies have integrated artificial intelligence into their daily operations, the leadership teams have not yet managed to leverage this capability to secure a true market-leading position.

This distinction matters because mere operational use of artificial intelligence is no longer enough to set a business apart. Without translating these digital tools into distinct strategic advantages, companies risk falling behind globally as competitors figure out how to squeeze deeper, game-changing value out of the same technology.
