Trustly Raises Over $40 Million to Develop AI-Powered Payments
Trustly is raising over $40 million through a capital funding round backed by signed equity commitment letters from its principal shareholder, Nordic Capital, and Alfvén & Didrikson. This financial transaction is expected to conclude in November.
The company plans to direct this new capital toward its growth strategy, specifically speeding up the creation of products powered by artificial intelligence. These tools will integrate real-time intelligence into open banking transactions, transforming standard payment processes.
By upgrading its open banking network across the United States, Canada, and Europe, Trustly aims to move past traditional low-cost money movement. The goal is to provide businesses with data-driven insights from each transaction to help them attract and retain customers more effectively.
