Introducing our Artifacts Hub and Adoption Dashboard

Interconnects is expanding its coverage of the open model ecosystem by launching two free data resources called the Artifacts Hub and the Adoption Dashboard. These tools build on internal data and previous projects to provide deeper transparency and metrics on open artificial intelligence models.

The Artifacts Hub is a curated view currently covering 792 text-focused and multimodal generative models released over the last two years. Built in collaboration with the AI verification startup Project VAIL, the hub tracks trending models on Hugging Face. It highlights inference tokens using Open Router, model intelligence through Artificial Analysis, and tailored adoption metrics such as time-size normalized download scores.

The Adoption Dashboard is a daily updating tracker focused on download and derivative model numbers broken down by geography and organization. It highlights the adoption gap between the United States and China while tracking growing players in the global open ecosystem.

These free resources are designed to help the open AI community find its strengths, grow, and figure out how to use open models productively and cost-competitively compared to frontier models. The project team is inviting feedback and collaboration from researchers and developers using the curated data.
