Tokayev, Rasmussen discuss cooperation in AI and critical minerals

Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen during an official visit to Astana. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and Denmark as they approach the 35th anniversary of their diplomatic relations next year.

During the meeting, the two officials explored several areas for future collaboration, including transport and logistics, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, critical minerals, agriculture, and water security. Rasmussen noted that Danish companies already have a strong presence in Kazakhstan, which is Central Asia's largest economy, and expressed a growing interest from Denmark in deepening these economic connections.

Tokayev described Denmark as a respected, influential European nation and a reliable Northern European partner for Kazakhstan, stating that their relationship holds enormous potential. Prior to this presidential meeting, the foreign ministers of both countries also held talks in Astana to lay the groundwork for these expanded cooperative efforts.
