Headhunter: Danish executives are lagging behind in the AI race

Danish corporate executives have widely adopted artificial intelligence, but they are falling behind in capturing its true value. According to the chief executive of the global consultancy and headhunting firm Heidrick and Struggles, Danish businesses are currently ahead in the basic use of AI.

Despite this early adoption, these leaders are failing to translate the technology into unique advantages that competitors cannot offer. Instead of using artificial intelligence to create distinct market differentiators, local executive leadership is missing out on the most significant gains.

This lag matters because simply using the technology is no longer enough to secure a competitive edge. Without turning artificial intelligence into exclusive strategic offerings, Danish companies risk losing ground globally despite their initial enthusiasm and active usage.
