Good Tape raises fresh funding and launches Explore to uncover stories buried in old interviews

Nordic Makers has invested in Good Tape, a Copenhagen-based artificial intelligence transcription company that serves three million users across more than 150 countries. Alexander Aghassipour, a co-founder and former Chief Product Officer of Zendesk, led the funding round on behalf of Nordic Makers and joined the company board.

Aghassipour observed a distinct tension regarding artificial intelligence adoption during a recent trip to Helsinki while meeting with twelve of Finland's twenty largest media companies. He noted that meetings involving both traditional journalists and heads of technology or artificial intelligence revealed a clear divide, with technical leaders readily embracing the tools while journalists remained much more hesitant.

To address these adoption hurdles, Good Tape emphasizes a simple user experience where people interact with straightforward interfaces rather than complex systems. Co-founder Finderup explains that the integration of the Recorder application and the company's multi-capability platform helps make the daily workflow much easier for media professionals to grasp.

The new capital supports the company as it launches Explore, a feature designed to help users uncover forgotten stories buried within old interview recordings. This development reflects the ongoing expansion of practical artificial intelligence tools tailored specifically for journalism and media production environments.
