Full Stack Python Developer

On behalf of a client in the pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Python Developer to support the continued development and scaling of an AI-enabled application, with a primary focus on backend development, AI engineering and Azure cloud technologies.

Main Responsibilities

— Develop and maintain Python-based backend services and APIs

— Build and integrate AI/LLM-based solutions, including agent-based capabilities

— Improve AI solution performance, reliability, latency and output quality

— Develop frontend features using React and TypeScript when required

— Build and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform

— Support and improve CI/CD pipelines

— Work with PostgreSQL, SQL, Docker and containerised services

— Implement and support authentication and authorisation solutions

— Integrate application and AI services with Databricks

— Improve monitoring, logging and observability

— Support production environments, including troubleshooting, performance optimisation and releases

— Contribute to automated testing and engineering documentation

Key Requirements

— Strong hands-on experience with Python development and backend API design

— Experience developing and integrating AI/LLM-based solutions

— Strong Azure cloud experience

— Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker and CI/CD

— Experience with React and TypeScript

— Strong PostgreSQL and relational database experience

— Experience with authentication and identity management

— Experience with monitoring, logging and observability

— Experience supporting applications in production environments

Nice to Have

— FastAPI

— Databricks

— BDD testing experience, including Gherkin, pytest-bdd or Playwright-BDD

— GitHub Actions

— Entra ID, MSAL or OBO authentication patterns

— Experience from pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life sciences or another regulated industry
